I remember like in 2012, mi knoppix had all sorts of accessibility tools. One of them that was meant as text input looked stupidly crafty (as far as you didnt needed to correct text) and was thought to be used just with a mouse or a joystick: the small app would present a pointer and boxes with letters with sizes matching the chance of a word starting with that letter on the target language. As soon as you move the pointer to that box, new letter would appear again matching posibilities of that letter.
I tried it just because with a trackball mouse and it felt surprisingly fast. Idk why havent heard of those things again.
Thinking of it, the number of accessibility tools on OS seems horribly low
