For now, it’s only the people that applied the software update when it became available that are affected. For a change, procrastination is the way to go! If your car wants to update, tell it to chill until all the prim and proper people have beta-tested the patch, and only if there is no outcry do you actually do anything.

If the car starts auto-updating, then you definitely should think about a different model (from a different vendor).
