Get them out of America too

ugh i live in a small hungarian town and we get more and more american cars - tbh i don’t mind the gurgling muscle cars as much, although it’s a bit silly to use them to go shopping, but the pristine, clean red ford f-150 raptor (the “sports” version) i’ve seen and a dodge ram, parked almost perfectly in the middle of 4 parking spots did make me a bit angry
You are too kind. All those …ahem… “tiny ego” compensators piss me off - especially the needlessly loud “I didn’t get enough attention as a child, so I’m gonna force everyone I can to give me some now” self-centered jerks. Unfortunately, I can’t escape them as I’m technically an American forced to live amongst them.
LOL, this kind of roasting is just golden.
This trend only leads to bad things. I say this because I’ve already seen it run its full(?) course in my country. Given a chance to go back and change things I’d probably go into vandalism
Back in the day, there was limit as to how far a part of the car (ie the mirrors) could protrude… does that still exist as the photo of the truck in the thumbnail looks like it could remove some pedestrian heads
The mirrors are extendible on that one to accommodate with the width of a trailer. If you look at the truck in the picture carefully you’ll see that they’re actually telescopic. When you are not towing anything you are supposed to, and indeed required by law in many states, to pull your damn mirrors in.
Zero percent of truck owners actually do so, and it’s not enforced either. So yes, you wind up with morons thundering around with pedestrian/bicyclist clobberers on the sides of their trucks all the time.
Even more absurd are the strap-on towing mirrors which, again, their owners inevitably never remove.
There’s light trucks in the US?
Fewer & fewer (sounds like a law firm name) can afford the monstrosities they really want, but they still need their underequipped-compensating backup housing plan.
Hyundai Santa Cruz is the closest we got. Go figure they’re pretty popular.
I wish Subaru would remake the Baja.
