This pulls in the philosophy of what makes someone “themselves” - is it memory, body, or “soul”. Technically, twins look the same so body could be ruled out that way but I do understand what you mean. I also tend to think of body as a vehicle in this life and not me, just like a car I got given in life. I didn’t choose my body, it’s just what I got given. My personality though - my morals, my believes, etc… that I do consider myself and who “I” am. An argument could be made that as you “craft” your personality or you - it is similar to working out and crafting your body into “you” but some people can’t do that with the cards they were dealt - so I’ll digress.
I just dig the philosophical conversation to be had here.

Well, tell us who this is so we can support the real ones!

Sadly, I’m still trying to get to making something new. Decided to engineer a friend’s 17 track album and got distracted.
I am inspired by Jam2Go’s work with them though. So I plan to try out the hyper pop style with one soon!

So many people asked “Why not Opera?” When I jumped off the AI browsers.
This. This is why. Didn’t trust em.

Where would I start learning about this?
I’ve been wanting to stop using samples for vocals (copyright protections be damned, I just dislike jumping to a Splice sample or pack a friend shared) and I was debating on a vocaloid but also I make future garage and rap over it so my genre is already a weird mix lol
Edit: nvm, I see you did provide links. Gonna try it out!

I’m skeptical of Songtradr but BandCamp standing against AI and continuing BandCamp Fridays is still a bigger positive than any other streaming service (even though BC is more of a purchasing platform).
No PE is good but they’re not making evil moves yet compared to Spotify or even Distros like DistroKid.
Personally, Epic Games owning them was the best thing possible as they knew nothing about it but that worked? It was truly a golden era.

I’ve been ignoring my phone (I work in sales so I don’t have much outside of my outreach) and reading more. I deleted all social media in 2024. I am slowly putting music onto my phone and soon to stop streaming entirely (I stopped Spotify years ago as I make music and hate them). I do think I’ll keep BandCamp as they’re cool so far but I feel the biggest way to fight is to take your attention back.
Life wasn’t this fast and anxiety driven before they shoveled these apps and content into our faces. I feel it messed with my CNS but who truly knows.
While I don’t support WiseCrack anymore, the YouTube channel is how I found him. It has his past work on it still (I believe) but his new channel by just his name is great as well and more up to date.
