That was the one that made me realize I’d outgrown the series. Dunno if old RL was really phoning that one in or what, but one of his chapter cliffhangers ended with “and the dragonfly bit me in half!” Then the next chapter started with “But it was just my imagination.”
If the female wasp crawls into the caprifig, she can successfully lay her eggs and die. The males hatch first, mate with the females, dig tunnels out of the caprifig, and die. The females, now covered in fig pollen from the caprifig, fly out to begin the cycle again. If the female wasp crawls into a female fig, she will not be able to successfully lay her eggs despite pollinating the fig with pollen from the caprifig she hatched in. The fig will absorb her body and her eggs as the fruit develops.

Lord Enma (or Yama) rules over a pretty cool buddhist hell
Keep in mind that poisonous and venomous are only different in a scientific context. In regular conversation people use them to mean the same thing (or at least they use poisonous to mean both-- venomous is less used in casual contexts)
Season 2 was great, fight me
Ugh, Elon continues to have the absolute most inane sense of humor on the planet. I’m not sure if it’s him or Zuck who are more clearly aliens wearing human skin
I like the story, but as a kid’s show it’s a little bit on the "simple solutions always work " side of things. Like the first thing the kids come up with fixes the problem. It’d be like if in the other shows reversing the polarity or shooting tachyon beams worked right away, rather than being the first failed idea in the problem-solving process.
Also a lot of science ex machina going on.
John Oliver just did this one

As a kid the bitterness of the crushed pill made me gag, even when mixed in something sweet like jam. Maybe my folks just needed to dilute it more with like an entire bowl of ice cream or something but I remember throwing up more than once because of the disgusting taste.
There’s def already stuff like interpreting use of emojis. For example sometimes you have text messages show up in a court case and there are people who can officially “interpret” what the emojis mean for the court.
I don’t think political violence is all that uncommon in the world. Since the 19th century Japan’s had 7 out of 64 PMs assassinated with another ~dozen plots or attempts.
