Microwaves are easier to manage

So anyways I left the door to the microwave open.

I have been for a few years. ITs time to buy my own. Also, some of the contents of the stickers are… well… sensitive to say the least.

Would there be any advantage to going just black and white?
What I really want:
Top of IN “some time range” AND NOT IN “other time range”.
So like… Top (6 hour) would be Top (6 hour) AND NOT IN Top (1 hour). Or Top 6 Hour AND NOT IN 12 Hour.
Hot is votes/ time. High number of votes in short period of time goes up.
Active is yes, recent comments.

I really hate that in order to have even the slightest coherent,
Man I wish people actually were, or would at least regard the analysts whose claims and analysis predict future states of the world correctly more, highly than those whose claims make them feel good about their positionality in the world. There was no need for a second Trump term and we ended up in that position specifically because people in general, and a majority of commenters in this forum, are actually pretty bad at political analysis. Or at least, they weight the perspectives that make them feel good about who they are and what positions they perceive themselves to occupy in reality over those perspectives which, while potentially discomforting, do predict future states of reality.

I’m never quite sure what to make of stories like this.
MAGA is reforming without Trump. It’s largely about the need for narrative coherence. Trump’s cooked, and regardless of his political future, the dudes like 200 years old. He’s done.
As a movement, Trump is giving MAGA a chance to make a clean and coherent break from a ‘dear leader’ who wasn’t going to be useful in 2 years anyways.
Those who reject Trump will get to make this presentation. That they resisted him. Those that stick around Trump will get to say that he was a mad man, they were just trying to steer him to better decisions, and those that support Trump from a far will get to say it was just bad advisors around Trump. Everyone will have an excuse that allows them to present themselves as the good one among a pack of devils.
On the one hand, it’s admirable to take a stand, but on the other hand, the stand implies that Trump’s decisions before this were acceptably sound, but this one passed some threshold making it unacceptably unsound.
The dude supported ALL of Trump’s policies and political theater. The ship is sinking and this rat crafted a convincing lifejacket. Put a bet down 👇 on what office this reek will be pursuing in two years. How blovious and long winded will their speech at the RNC be?
Are you excited to hear them being quoted on Fox news? I wonder what the book title will be.

Even if it was bad luck on her part and both her team, and the House procedures were as correct and well followed as they could have been, it’s a good thing she isn’t the candidate right now, because that would be that.
Why don’t you go ahead and keep digging this hole.
Yeah but that doesn’t explain how the mean goes up.
In climate change the mean goes up because we are getting more extreme events, in the form of both heating and cooling events.
Lets put this in D&D terms, or at least dice rolls.
First, imagine you have two sets of dice, one blue, and one red. Blue represents cooling events, red represents heating events. In this exercise, every individual die represents one unique event (a snowstorm, a cold blast, a heatwave, a hurricane, whatever).
Every year, you are going to roll some equal number of red and blue dice, and whatever you get as a result, those are the extreme weather events you get, and how extreme they are. Over enough years of dice rolls, the average will approach 0, but the individual years will bounce around in terms of their means, and individual events can be cover a wide range of extremes (0-6).
Climate change is like swapping some of red D6’s (six sided dice) with a few D10’s (red sided dice), and a few of your blue D6’s with D8’s. You increase range of possible extremes, tilted slightly to one side. And yes, the mean of individual years will go up (but not always), and over the course of many years, it will trend in a more positive direction.
Basically, the average doesn’t just increase monotonically or continuously. It does so through the contribution of more extreme inputs.

The do-a-flip meme would be more likely to succeed.

Let’s add to that giving people someone to vote for.
DNC strategy had been to run dogshit candidates because “hey who are you else are you going to vote for?”
The candidates that are winning now are further left and not water carriers. The base finally gets the problem it created by listening to blue maga/ ABWD as long as they did.
You can’t change change an electorate, at least not in the course of one election cycle. You want to change an electorate? Start speaking the truth and keep giving the same speech as nauseum just like uncle Bernie did. But in the course of a single election, run candidate that meet the electorate where they are at.

Keep apologizing for the failure of Democrats and see how many wins you rack up with that approach.

We call this one “Democrats can never fail, they can only be failed”

Democrats say he has no plan because at a fundamental level, leadership supports most of the policies that Trump pursues.
Its not a question of the relevancy of Democrats or Trump’s ego: Its that both parties accept and operate to support the same corporate, zionist, fascist donor base.
Its why you weren’t permitted an anti-genocide candidate in 2024: Because it wasn’t in the donor classes interests. Its why they convinced Democrats to hold onto Biden as a candidate long as they did. Its party of why Harris was effectively “selected” as the nominee instead of running a real primary (for example, as Jon Stewart had suggested). Its why Harris ran on a campaign of “Nothing would fundamentally change”, while as an administration, having sold out both progressives and the BLM movement as a voting block in the period of 2021-2024. Democratic voters have been voting against their own interests, just like Republican voters, for decades.
There is no future or path to a better future through the traditional pathways to power in the Democratic party as it currently exists. Its structurally not possible. And this inability to adjust to an electorate with significantly different priorities than those who control power within the party is a constant headwind: By constantly being on the wrong sides of issues, like they are today, Democrats damage their ability to win elections.
For leadership, this isn’t a problem: They still get the policies they desire. For the electorate, or people running for office who want to change the Democratic party to one people actually want to vote for, this is a huge problem.
