All those who got used to quality, stable code in the Linux kernel for decades, prepare for your experience to degrade significantly soon. This nonsense is coming thick and fast from all sides, from upstream development to downstream code review, and laziness is unstoppable.

Are the kernel devs paying any attention to this, or did some random person just make a site that autogenerates things that sound like opinions on Linux commits?

Probably a rando. Everybody and their dog shit out some agentic something-or-other these days.

The problem is, lazy and/or talentless coders use these things, then submit poor code and PRs that look authoritative on the surface, but take a lot of time to review, and for the reviewer to realize they’re looking at crap code made by a machine.

I maintain a handful of open-source projects myself, and I’ve basically stopped accepting PRs: half of them are clearly flawed, and I don’t have time to sort out proper code made by competent coders from polished machine-made turds. And I sure as hell won’t let a machine review the code for me either: I take too much pride in the quality of what I maintain.
