    I learned this the other day when reloading one of my fire sticks with an updated app. I found plenty of strikingly similar android based sticks like the firestick that I plan to use when the fire sticks stop working. Not sure what to do if google disables side loading for android though.

      You might want to keep an eye on Plasma Bigscreen, KDEs UI for TVs. Combine it with Waydoid and you get a system that allows you to sideload anything you want.

      I don’t think most of the chinese manufacturers will deal with the google verification bullshit at all. Afaik many Asian countries have their own app stores or only do “side loading”.
