    If it’s not at least 60 fps, it hurts my eyes as far as games go. Movies and TV are fine at 24 fps, though higher does generally look better but not needed.

    I’m gonna say it, you only need thirty if you’re gaming. 24 if you’re watching. Thats all you absolutely need.

      I know it wasn’t explicitly mentioned. But good luck gaming in VR at 30fps without vomiting.

              Sure, and VR gaming is a form of gaming. It seems arbitrary to decide what types of gaming is “needed”.

                The article itself ignores VR gaming and speaks in mostly a historical context. So don’t know why it was brought up anyway its out of the scope of this article.

                We also gamed for three decades without 60fps, which the article claims you need.

      Depends on the game. For high twitch first person games you will suffer some amount of accuracy handicap at 30 compared to 60. A relatively small amount, but I think noticeable for most people who are at a decent skill level.
