I am shocked that no commercial LLMs are offered with a math tool. It could gather up the parameters and pass it into a math execution program and return the results. Then all math would be completely accurate.
What’s weird is that they do in fact pass the calculations on to other programs (or say they do) and then fuck it up afterwards.
Wolfram Alpha has been doing a pretty impressive job of turning natural language maths expressions into symbolic calculation for a very long time. LLMs are completely redundant in this area.
