I’m massively oversimplifying, but if these reagents don’t work as advertised, it’s akin to building a vinegar-and-baking soda volcano, except the baking soda is actually sugar. Your experiment will fail, and you won’t understand why.

There’s a comment on HN indicating it may simply be cleanup for publishing (reduce the noise) but that doesn’t explain the copied blobs - and might be arguably false advertising.
