Have you heard of Apple? A piece of fruit, and one of the most valuable brands ever built. That name would never have been approved in Germany.
Apple Computer Company was successfully sued by Apple Corps, the Beatles’ record label. They only dodged a change of name by settling out of court.
Ironically they fucked that up too, since the deal was, obviously a computer company would not compete in the music industry. And then the iPod and iTunes happened. IIRC they were so large by that point that they considered buying Apple Corps outright. Instead they bought the trademarks off Apple Corps for a massive payout and licensed it back to them for a nominal fee.
If I want to start with nothing, that is my call
Not if you avoid liability, you dingus. The escrow for incorporation is to cover the company’s fees in case you fuck up. You dodged the simple instant alternative where it’s all on you - for better and for worse.
Still some bullshit that getting there means eighteen steps of paying and waiting.
