    It’s really weird how this is shaping up. First, the executives are running around like chicken with their heads cut off because they FOMO on the hot new technology. So they get the consultants in who say you have to get a humongous AI budget. The humongous AI budget is approved and now you have to do something with it. The something has to have major impact and must replace entire departments, because that’s how much enterprise AI contracts cost.

    The usefulness of AI, the things where it can be helpful, are overshadowed by the cost of it all. It’s like buying a bicycle for the cost of a car and deciding you have to get rid of the car because the bicycle was so expensive, it must be able to do the same things.
