I think it comes down to passion for the journey and the end product. Even before LLMs came along I toyed with the idea of solo dev, but it always comes back to the commitment for me.

Am I really willing to commit the time, discipline and effort it would take to actually produce something worthwhile?

So far, I haven’t found the answer. Or maybe the right project?

Who knows.

I agree with the article regarding llm code though. If left unchecked it will ultimately derail your vision for its own, which I find frustrating.
