I can’t stand these AI boosters. I got into programming precisely BECAUSE I enjoyed working through the logic; crafting the code, seeing and understanding how it worked. Crafting it with my own mind. “AI” was supposed to un-burden us from the things we don’t enjoy, not take over the things we do enjoy and make us into reverse-centaurs just steering (or being steered by) some statistical model.
As far as I’m concerned, a programmer that wants to build things but never look at the code, really wants deep down to be a manager, not a programmer or computer scientist. Maybe that’s fine, but they should be honest about it with others and themselves.
I lost five IQ points reading that.
