The thing that I liked the most - and still do to this day - about Snow Leopard, is the Disk Utility.
It’s got teeth in a way that every DU released since Yosmite does not.
I’ve used it to reformat and repartition newer drives that have for some reason, code on them that stops the newer DU’s cold.
Perhaps something tied to the system and the restore volumes?
I have no idea, and yeah, one can use the Terminal to get to the drive tools but one shouldn’t have to.
SL’s Disk Utility doesn’t give a shit about who, or what, owns a volume.
If you want it gone, it’s done.
I still have my disc! …and my MacBook Pro from back then. …and it still works, and runs surprisingly well, with a solid state drive and 16GB RAM!
