Only buy from official resellers people…
I love taking shit apart. People should take things apart. I think a cell modem would look obvious. I don’t know. Not a suprise. These things were always over priced anyways. Glad I never bught into this crap.
Apparently is was a single chip. One chip isn’t obvious to most people, only people who recognize nearly or actually all the other chips. Someone discovered it by being an expert on these boards and took a look at the design and said “I don’t recognize this chip, wtf is this”
Next you’re gonna say you’re glad you never bought into renewables because some solar inverters were backdoored with cellular modems too
I wouldn’t call solar inverters sold with remote monitoring being ‘backdoored’.
Sure, right up until they start using all of your bandwidth acting as a residential proxy to create fraudulent clicks for ad networks.
I’m not sure comparing renewables with bitcoin is the right way to go here. One of these actually provide tangible value, and it’s not bitcoin.
As for physical keys for security in general, I’m a big fan.
Bitcoin is hilarious. The superior Trustless system.
Except everyone accepts Tethers ‘trust me bro’ no audited proof of backing.
Trust the maker of your hardware wallet.
Trust your exchange with your BTC (not your keys, not your BTC)
Trust Satoshi Wallet will never move.
Trust ‘number go up’
This movement takes more faith than those that believe jesus walked on water.
The whole crypto is a bit of a libertarian joke. The only way the free market has accepted them is via an exchange which defeats the decentralized and anonymous nature of the network. Even then it has failed at being a currency and is really just a speculative asset.

Never occurred to me using the “at least it’s not blockchain”-gambit when discussing religion. I’ll keep that on the back burner till next time!
I don’t know why you would not buy from Ledger directly. Do they not ship everywhere? Does anyone know if this would work if you did not generate a seed but restored a wallet from a seed?
But glorbnob.biz has them on sale for 75%off? Surely they a trustworthy vendor
