This role is in person at our office in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. As a small team, we’re all generalists, constantly pick up new challenges, and interface with customers regularly. Regarding product and code, we’re looking to work with experienced people who can pick a problem and solve it. We don’t expect you to have a background in all the tools we use, but we expect strong JavaScript fundamentals and a background working with React and TypeScript. Next.js and Vercel experience is a plus! What you’ll do Streamline the developer experience for our monorepo. Streamline the developer experience for our monorepo by sharing your vision of an ideal internal developer experience. Your work will focus on reducing build times, accelerating deploy times, and increasing time-to-ship. Manage our frontend infrastructure. Lead the implementation of Storybook, enhance our CI/CD pipeline, optimize web application performance, and implement application monitoring to ensure robust and reliable operations. Build user-facing features. Develop features such as a WYSIWYG editor to replace Markdown files with an intuitive in-browser app, and a changelog to track developer documentation changes over time. You’ll oversee the architecture, design, deployment, and customer adoption of these features. Earn trust with customers. Work with developers from startups, growth-stage companies, and enterprises. Collaborate to understand their needs and define product requirements. What you’ll bring 4+ years of professional frontend development experience, ideally including startup environments Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js Experience collaborating with product designers A customer-first mindset, with enthusiasm for engaging with users to ensure we build polished, user-centric products (Bonus) Experience with OpenAPI, Conjure (Palantir), or Smithy (AWS) What we offer First-hand experience building an early-stage startup  A salary of $168,000 to $192,000 and equity Living proximity bonus of $18,000 per year if you choose to live near the office Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the office Health, dental, and vision insurance Unlimited vacation Our tech stack Next.js + Vercel (Frontend) Fern (API) Microservices: Express (Node.js), FastAPI (Python) Postgres DB + Prisma ORM AWS (Cloud)
