The joke works - you’re just over-analyzing it and doing a common “well, actually” to try to tear it down and show everyone that you have some nugget of knowledge. There’s nothing wrong with the joke - it’s a webcomic, it doesn’t have to be 100% factually true in every known universal case…if comics/humor had to do that then they wouldn’t be funny.
