    Here’s some tips (lol).

    1. Pay your employees living wages so we don’t have to do it for you.

    2. Make sure ALL service industry workers get tipped. I worked multiple service jobs where I never got tipped.

    3. Create an economically safer environment so people feel comfortable tipping more.

    4. Stop trying to shove tipping down our throats by asking for tips for handing me a coffee or even just ringing up my purchase and stop removing the 15% tip option from the options screen on POS systems so we have to select 20% or more to avoid clicking the “custom” option and doing the mental math ourselves.

    Over the last decade I’ve started to feel more “forced” into tipping than simply obligated, and that has caused me to rebel and tip less or not at all. Make the culture toxic and people will simply not take part.

      I have ALWAYS felt forced to tip.

      Just give me the final price when I buy something. Don’t give me a moral dilemma.
