The anti science crowd is everywhere, not because they don’t believe in science, but their only interaction with science are tiny sensationalized news blurbs that have little to no relationship with reality.

Then mix in the critical thinking skills and reading comprehension of your average politics discussion…

It’s not that people hate science, but they are not equipped to discuss it, arrive at new conclusions, create hypothesis, and most importantly… Admit to being wrong.
