    One thing people should remember if they’re looking at this is that electricity costs more than gas in many areas, but a heat pump will require only something like 1/3-1/4 of the kWh to get the same effect as a gas boiler. So people should take that into account: work out your annual gas kWh consumption from past bills, find out what this would cost in electricity and then divide by something like 3.5
