      This scenario was (spoilers) a major plot point in the vintage sci-fi short story ‘portal in the picture’, was odd to see it actually play out, and with much less fuss than in the book.

    Genuinely fascinating how there are uncontacted peoples around in 2025. Cannot imagine what it’d be like to be someone in that tribe that then gets shown lighters whilst being videoed on a phone
