As our Founding Engineer, you'll own and build the systems that power our rapidly growing platform. We're at an inflection point where customer demand is outpacing our engineering capacity, and we need someone hungry, autonomous, and gritty—someone who can ship code fast while handling both front- and backend challenges. What You'll Do: Design and implement our core architecture, from robust backend data systems to engaging front-end interfaces, to scale millions of property records. Build efficient data pipelines, quality assurance systems, and interactive internal tools that blend web scraping, LLM processing, and human validation for unparalleled data accuracy. Quickly prototype, iterate, and deploy features across the stack, owning the full development cycle from idea to production. Collaborate directly with the CTO to drive key architectural decisions and shape PropRise's technical foundation. Tech Stack: Typescript, Next.js, React, Postgres, GCP Who We're Looking For: Must-Haves: 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience in a fast-paced environment. Solid expertise in building scalable, data-intensive systems with a strong foundation in PostgreSQL and modern front-end frameworks. Proven track record of independently driving projects from concept to completion with a bias for shipping code fast. Comfortable wearing multiple hats—balancing backend responsibilities with delivering slick, user-friendly front-end solutions. Nice-to-Haves: Experience with OLAP databases and distributed data processing Familiarity with GCP (especially CloudRun) and managing production cron jobs Background in prompt engineering and integrating LLM APIs into data workflows Why Join Us: Own the technical foundation of a fast-growing platform analyzing millions of property records. Work directly with our CTO to shape our engineering culture and technical direction. Competitive compensation package, including significant equity in a seed-stage startup. Downtown SF office with full benefits (health, dental, vision). This Role Isn't For You If: You prefer well-defined tasks over ambiguous challenges that demand creative, fast-paced solutions. You're not excited about the intersection of AI and data quality. You lack the drive to make systems faster, more efficient, and ship code rapidly. You’re looking to join a large team with established processes rather than building something from the ground up.
