conversion to north american safety and emissions standards would probably double the price, and then tack on extra profit because ‘yea! capitalism’, call it triple–at least. and probably still be the best lower-cost option on the market.

i would love to see basic cars and light trucks, especially ev. you don’t need computers to control everything, touch screens everywhere, and ‘automatic’ everything, just to power a car with batteries and electric motors instead of a petrol engine.
