This isn’t about whether or not listening to an audiobook is ‘real’ reading (it is) or whether it ‘counts’ (it does).

The first answer is “it is not”, it’s not the same as reading at all. The second answer is “who cares”. Counts for what? If you’re liable to ask the second question, it’s no wonder you got the first answer wrong.
