Reading the article seems they coded the thing to try engage and generate more engagement by being agreeable. Then in a grim and saddening world any fucking escape looks like the light at the end of the tunnel, so many vulnerable users got deluded into the ChatGPT promising whatever they where looking for.
We live in dark times indeed…I use ChatGPT all the time and I’ve never had an issue like anything in that article. I think a person needs to be half way there already to be pushed into crazy land.
That or I’m just not good enough the be the messiah. :(
