Video is the most compelling medium ever invented. But even a single minute of video can take hours to make and expertise across multiple tools. AI is changing this forever, and how we create and consume video will look completely different in 2 or 3 years time. We're starting by helping the fastest growing startups in the world make more compelling, authentic and entertaining content 100x faster than today. We're taking a novel technical approach in the video space. We think making videos is reasoning-heavy, so we're building low and high autonomy UXes that orchestrate the best domain-specific voice, video, and reasoning models. Our investors include YCombinator, General Catalyst, Leonis Capital, and angels from Pika Labs, Meta, Roblox, and Adobe. We’re a small experienced team based in Soho NYC. “Yarn has changed how we think about video. We’re now able to make high-retention content at scale – it feels like a secret weapon. I haven’t seen anyone else doing video like this with AI.” Varun Anand, Cofounder @ Clay About the role We’re building in stealth with world-class teams at companies like Clay and Shopify, and we’re looking for founding engineers in-person in NYC. We’ve hit an inflection point on fit with our customers and looking to aggressively grow the team across engineering, AI, and design. Looking for super-ambitious engineers who want to own products and pipelines, have a founder mindset with strong equity, and invent some cool shit that doesn't exist yet. Things you might work on immediately Help build out our core agent workflows. Add Figma-style real-time collaboration between humans and AI to our core editing. Prototype new AI pipelines using frontier diffusion models, reasoning models, internal and external data, and evals. Extend and optimize our server-side video/graphics rendering pipeline. Write WebGL shaders for special FX and graphics. How we work We believe in small, hard-working, talent-dense teams. We deeply care about our customers and relentlessly iterate and collaborate with them. We're generalists that enjoy picking up new challenges and learning new tech. We prototype broadly across technologies and UXes, then make aggressive product plays.
