I wished sites would stop acting like what Google says is true and that that move is supposed to be about keeping users safe. If they cared about keeping users safe they would start with making sure the play store would not be filled to the brim with malware.
This change is solely to limit side loading and strengthen the cesspool that is the play store. They saw how apple can make a fool out of the EU law by allowing that new limited version of side loading and now they want to get in on that action.
