I know this is true because I’ve seen people get dumber using their little bots for everything. But techbro will argue that you could say the exact same thing about the internet or electricity. Technically all inventions have made us dumber. The majority of people cant make clothes, do long division, build a log cabin etc because its all been made easier.
They could do those things (at least some of them) if they were taught and tried to do them, though. Someone else making your clothes for you is older than civilization, it’s basic task specialization. I think giving up thinking altogether is a different problem than giving up knowing how to make every single tool that you need to survive.
