I’m also gay and I heard it all throughout the 2000s and I found it irritating then. It was also annoying to be lumped together with Mac users like a monolith of tech illiterate pansies, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Sorry to come off as grumpy. The trope just hits a particular nerve with me, but I’ve reconsidered with more context from the OP. All good!
