    Well, yes. If an area is disaster-prone, one should not build there. Especially not those typical stick-and-cardboard houses that more often contribute to the disasters than protect from them.

      I welcome hurricane prone areas to start building geodesic domes out of concrete where the first floor is just pure concrete storage. Living space above
