The Justice Department filed a lawsuit against Uber Technologies Inc. for discriminating against passengers with disabilities, including those who use service animals and mobility devices such as stowable wheelchairs. Yeah, that was the big change uber brought. Traditional cabs were leased, and a lot of people do lease they’re cars for uber (though by the year instead of the day) but that’s nothing to do with uber and there’s no fleet.
