That’s… a pretty paltry writeup. I guess knowing that caloric use only increases by 10% is something worth knowing, but it seems that a 9 year old article is also pretty old in terms of any information on the subject.
Poor quality article. You burn slightly more calories by standing but a lot more while walking. The article mentions possible other benefits but doesn’t back any of them up.
I cry all day at work to burn calories. It’s great because I normally have pretty dry eyes from looking at the screen.
