    It’s tech all across the board. I became a SysAdmin figuring there’d always be a need to keep the servers running, but then everything evaporated to the cloud. Fair enough, I pivoted, but then everyone outsourced their IT departments to MPSs. Fair enough, I say again through gritted teeth, as I take all my skills and become a Tier 1 tech support agent for an MSP, only to get replaced by an AI chatbot.

    The tech industry is tearing itself to bloody pieces from the inside out on worthless services nobody actually wanted and soon won’t be able to afford anyways. There’s momentum now, I don’t think anything can stop what’s coming next and it’s going to be gruesome. Hate to sound like a doomer without solutions, but … I literally don’t know what to do here. I’m staring down the barrel of 40 now and I’ve sold myself lower and lower for the past decade, crippling my career for shoestring survival and even that isn’t pulling through anymore.
