Military is already giving the dogs guns and AI sight to solve that problem for you. No need to worry about some random guy shooting you. A robot drone dog will do it now if you move too suspiciously

When see one outside of a Boston Dynamics sponsored museum exhibit, six feet away from it’s base station, I’ll be more worried

The police in my town use them for basic patrols. No need to be sponsored when they have gov contracts. Your taxes sponsor them

          Which town is this?

I remember Eric Adams introducing big mobile robot police thingies in the subway. They got defaced so regularly that cops had to start guarding the device. I believe the program was discontinued, because I didn’t see any of them on my most recent visit.

Lol im not comfortable sharing my location online. But i have seen them patrolling with my own eyes. They only really do it downtown in the “problem” (ie, disadvantaged) neighborhoods

              Shrug

I’ve been all over downtown in Houston, NYC, and San Francisco. Never seen one in the wild before.

But maybe you’re in a curious neck of the woods.
