Hi there! It’s Charlie (https://x.com/charliebholtz) and Jackson (https://x.com/jacksondecampos), founders of Conductor. The two of us met eight years ago when we played ultimate frisbee together at Brown. Last year, we quit our jobs at Point72 and Netflix to start a company together. Conductor is used by engineers at YC, Linear, Vercel, Notion, Supabase, and other leading companies, and it’s changing how people work. One user told me: A huge amount of my work now is wildly parallelized, in a way I’ve never had to worry about before. It’s been a while since a dev tool has changed my life [like Conductor did]. There’s a big opportunity ahead of us. In the next few years, humans will shift focus from direct work (writing code) to orchestrating teams of AIs—and we're going to need entirely new interfaces to do it. We want you to help us build them. About us Our team is just three people, us and Omid (https://x.com/OmidMogasemi), and we love working with each other. #4 could be you! We ship features unusually fast We’re backed by some of the best investors in the valley. We have plenty of money to keep the company running through rough patches. We work in person in our beautiful San Francisco office! About you We’re looking for a scrappy jack of all trades: an idea generator, an explorer, someone who can talk with users, design, prototype, and then actually build a beautiful product. You’re probably a good fit if: You dislike bureaucracy and you like to move fast You take pride in your work You have strong opinions about software We write most of our code in Typescript, but Typescript experience is not necessary. We’re looking for the kind of person who can figure it out on the job. Compensation Pay Compared to similar companies at our stage, we aim to pay roughly median salary and 90th percentile equity. We give out more stock than other companies because we hire less, and each employee can make an unusually large impact. Health care Health: Aetna PPO $500 (https://public-assets.ripplingcdn.com/us1/insurancepublic/common/benefits/us1/524a53ede0ab4fd5bc0ad76f87343ee8) Dental: Guardian PPO 2000 (https://public-assets.ripplingcdn.com/us1/insurancepublic/common/benefits/us1/ab606cea785747b59475d3c75ad394f4) Vision: Guardian VSP Vision (Choice) (https://public-assets.ripplingcdn.com/us1/insurancepublic/common/benefits/us1/abf6230d19ac48e3b22e75b65845eae1) 6% 401k matching … and, most importantly, Real Health Care: sleep, nutrition, exercise, social support. We try to make Conductor a strongly positive influence on all those fronts. More about our culture. We’ll give you a credit card that you can use for anything you use for work. We don’t want you to waste time filing expense reports, asking permission for little things, etc. We trust you! Your ideas here Got ideas for benefits we should try? One of the fun things about doing this is we can make everything up!
