I wish this was the norm. Not roasting hot in the summer, not getting wet when loading the car in the rain. Generating electricity without nimbys moaning about solar farms. Etc.
I can’t figure why US retailers aren’t doing this already. Customers would love the shelter, many would go to that store just for the covered parking. The store gets free power and free word-of-mouth advertising.
Having your car in the shade … It’s a true Win-win

Here, in the US, we’re getting rid of incentives to individuals and companies that “go green”.
I hate surface parking lots. But if you can let cars park under solar panels, that gives them some excuse.
This is great! I’ve been telling everyone who will listen that we should be doing this but that since it’s more expensive than clear felling land for a solar plant that’s installed on the ground, it needs legislation. Anyone know of other countries that have done this? I hope more will follow
