Fun fact: Us economy would be in a recession without Ai. About 10 tech companies are holding up the economy.
Its a bit like in those sci fi movies where megacorps ran the country and made the laws and there wasnt anything anyone could do.
Its a bit like how Wall Street movie was supposed to be a warning for capitalism but people felt the bad guy was a true inspiration and wanted to be like him.
Is this assuming the AI money wouldn’t be spent elsewhere?
It’s different this time!
AI sucking the air out of all other computers/phones is pretty bad, but also a sign that even if AI hardware set for next year is more powerful/efficient, it is still likely to cost more per token/training than hardware from earlier this year… make the datacenter expansion that much more too expensive.
