Just like fusion? No, not like fusion, because they’ve been working hard on fusion for decades, with perhaps trillions invested and have yet to crack the nut.
I’ve been reading about geothermal my whole life, the promise has been there much longer. Why there isn’t much, much more funding and attention paid to it is beyond me. The simple concept is fully sound, there’s no mystery. The engineering problems can certainly be solved. The potential is vast.
Unlimited, clean and cheap power sits a few miles beneath everyone’s feet. Eventually, this is what we’ll all be using, this should be our focus.
