Intern won $400 GPU in a raffle while on a business trip paid for by the employer. The employer decides it’s their property because they paid for the trip, and the intern disagrees. The employer essentially tells them to GTFO, the intern resigns in response.
Is the company going to cover the costs of the STDs I got on that all expenses paid trip? How much ownership do they take for a person that isn’t even a paid employee?
