A VIN isn’t exactly PII. You can pull any VIN on carfax.
It’s not PII, but it is PII-relatable. The website could give you the same answers by having you enter the first 11 digits - leaving out the unique serial number part of the VIN.
Is there a reason then, why you couldn’t just make up your own last numbers that are unique?
I think there’s a requirement to be outraged.
