Sort of – that’s it transliterated into the Latin alphabet. The real native word is apparently “საქართველო”, according to Wikipedia.
Further info on the compound. Wikipedia claims it to be as toxic as chlorine. That was also used in WW1, under the name “bertholite”.
Bertholite sounds like a Pedialyte competitor that would taste like chlorine
