    I remember trying to learn. Japanese in the 90s and quickly figuring out that the books were clearly lying about how つ was pronounced.

    I was hoping they were straightening out the weird pronunciation/writing of particles (は, へ) but I’ll gladly take Hepburn romanization. Makes much more sense.
