It sounds like the new CEO understands a significant part of the user base doesn’t want AI features and offers an opt-out for those. Which means that remixes like Waterfox can just turn them off. I think it’s an acceptable compromise until a real open browser shows up. Making Firefox worse might even speed up development of newer, better alternatives.
