    I think now carrying a tracking device on them at all time made teenagers less free as well.

    I grew up poor. We had a lot of ‘freedom’ because our parents were working all the time and the expectations were lower. My youth consisted of watching TV, playing sports, and hanging out in the woods. There was zero pressure for ‘success’ because just having enough to eat and be warm in the winter was ‘success’ in my small town.

    Rich kids often have high expectations set on the from a young age. My rich friends from college were learning violin at 2-3 years old. I didn’t know what a violin was until I was in 12 years old. They were focused on becoming Doctors, I was focused on having enough money for food each semester.
