It’s not AI slop. You, like everyone else, including me, are unable to tell the difference between AI slop and a bad human-made photoshop. I made the image with Photopea.

don’t feel badly. there are quite a few accounts on lemmy that seem to exist just to pop into threads and scream “ai slop” and have that be their entire personality.

I didn’t notice it was ai either. I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

seriously why the fuck do you guys scrutinize every single image to see if it’s AI? guess what, i made this months ago and i had no fucking idea it was AI. so excuse me for not doubting every single thing i see like a paranoid schizophrenic

Lol, I didn’t scrutinise it, I spotted it was shitty slop in about 3 seconds and then spent another 5 seconds cropping it out to highlight it.

If you don’t like that, blame the shit cunts filling up the Internet with this bullshit so they can pump and then dump their tech stocks while making everything shittier in the process.

Then I guess you’re a lot better at spotting this shit than I am. I’m always the last person to realize AI slop is actually AI slop.

        Bruh

i was referring to the base picture. The guitar can’t possibly have 6 and 7 strings at the same time.

There’s plenty of real photos around

        Hence, fuck this AI slop

You’re right, I did find the AI slop with google, but in my defense, I never remember to check to see if it’s AI. Most of the time the image I’m looking for is just some stock photo, but there are plenty of AI stock photos, so I usually wind up just not knowing whether it’s AI

The funny thing is, there are 3 main arguments against AI slop:

                1. Quality is shit (fair but technical)

                2. It has no soul / is not art (same thing could be said about real humanmade art in our postmodern)

                3. Deprives artists of value.

The latter concern really taps into trade of creative labor for something else. That is purely capitalist bullshit that we should be callong out instead, ai is just a tiny simptom on huge ugly face of art alienation.

The thing is, anti-ai discourse got so loud only because it’s good for capitalism. All the vigilants are doing free, non-compensated capitalist labor of curating art, both optimizing trade in massive social networks and improving AI training level. Good job, anarchists fellows.

The picture is shit regardless, but hey it’s a meme, who judges memes?
