        As someone pointed up the ycombinator thread, a lot of people receives new laptops as present in December and they usually came with Windows 11, and using just December is pretty useless to talk about trends.

        Still funny all the downvotes for seeing information they don’t like.

          This is a bad assumption to make.

          I downvoted because it’s a rather clickbaity title that relies on misdirection rather than facts to make a case for increased user adoption that’s more of a blip than an actual trend.

          Anyone with any common sense should look at the title and realize that December is a holiday season where high priced electronics like computers get purchased and given as gifts and those computers likely come with windows 11, so of course that will cause a blip. It’s not newsworthy and it’s not relevant to conversations about gaming in general because it’s not enough data over time to prove much of anything.
