The Trump administration will withdraw from dozens of international organizations, including the U.N.'s population agency and the U.N. treaty that establishes international climate negotiations, as the U.S. further retreats from global cooperation.
Trump on Wednesday signed an executive order suspending U.S. support for 66 organizations, agencies, and commissions, following his administration’s review of participation in and funding for all international organizations, including those affiliated with the United Nations, according to a White House release.
Many of the targets are U.N.-related agencies, commissions and advisory panels that focus on climate, labor, migration and other issues the Trump administration has categorized as catering to diversity and “woke” initiatives. Other non-U.N. organizations on the list include the Partnership for Atlantic Cooperation, the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance, and the Global Counterterrorism Forum.
We are quickly turning into West Korea.
Time to relocate the UN HQ from the US to a civilized country.
Like China for instance 🤣🤣
Brazil would be a good place imo.
The US needs to be starved out by every other civilized country in the world immediately. It’s a rogue terrorist state, but has far too much military might to take on by force, so it must be done economically.
It’s only a matter of time. America is on the precipice of falling- and there won’t be a recovery.
I hope I can get to a northern state quick enough. I’ve already been applying for jobs in the north. I fucking HATE living in a Republican state. Don’t want to have the stink on me, but it might be too late because Nazis made the news on an overpass not ~30 miles from me.
That’s ok Europe and China are super moral and caring places that will replace US funding for climate and peace organizations
Right?
China has already eclipsed the US on green energy.
France and China are leading the world in fusion research. Canada showed just this week that a liquid wall design can also produce fusion
Ehm, yes?
