This sentence alone tells me it’s not really going to be made open-source.
You don’t need to open-source something repeatedly.They are only open sourcing the spaghetti that sticks to the wall.
Carefully curated and redacted/obscured/replaced where appropriate.
Probably removing hard coded rules like “always show musk tweets” and stuff like that
The odds of something actually happening after Elon says it will happen are roughly 10%
They have to prio mars then opensource it!
To be fair, I didn’t read the article…
But how would one open source an algorithm? Wouldn’t it be the implementation of an algorithm be what is open sourced?
I hate the overuse and frequent misunderstanding of this word.
Last week, my twitter feed started being filled with random political posts and engagement bait. It got so bad (about 70% is stuff I’m not interested in), that I’ve finally stopped using twitter.
I guess this could explain why the algorithm changed so suddenly.
